Here is where I will post the rescue flights I am able to make, usually in my company Centurion, as I make them. I try and fly when the weather allows me to and I’m not flying for my business. Once I win the lottery (hooray!) I will be able to do this full-time. Until then I will try and make a difference with these flights as often as I can.
I am a member of Pilots-N-Paws and use their request forum to arrange flights. To see a map of current requests you can go here: https://pilotsnpaws.org/maps/maps_trips.php
Since these flights are expensive, in addition to being fun and rewarding, I’ve partnered with GoFundMe to assist in just the operating costs of these flights. For example, a typical rescue flight will take a few hours of flight time and an airplane will burn about 30 to 40 gallons for the flight. My local airport in Carson City, Nevada (KCXP) has reasonable fuel prices (if I don’t need to buy more during the flight) at $5.35 per gallon (14 FEB 2025 price) for a total of $160 to $214 per flight for fuel alone.
If you are interested in helping I have a GoFundMe page available where all donations go only to fuel, parts and maintenance for the airplane used for these flights. I do not pay myself anything for these flights simply because I enjoy having a mission to fly and want to help these furry critters get help, medical attention or to their forever home.
